Furniture & Art

Meet the designer behind the Furniture & Art:

Rick L. Bartholomew

Rick is a retired interior designer and professor of interior design from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of architecture and master of science degrees (interior design) from Oklahoma State University. His area of specialization has been furniture and presentation illustration as well as conducting sketching and color rendering work shops across the country. He has a copyrighted furniture collection inspired by Native American history and culture and exhibited these works in gallery showrooms in Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, New York, Houston, and Chicago. Rick was also a design consultant for a national retail fixture and furnishings manufacturer. He currently creates hand-drawn pen-and-ink and colored renderings (marker and watercolor) for architects, designers, builders, and personal clients such as exterior 2D and 3D home portraits, conceptual building illustrations, and various interior 2D and 3D drawings.
Rick has worked with Bearwood since the formation of our furniture and art division, Bearwood Art. His ability to create something from an idea to reality is second to none. Bearwood Art pieces are one of a kind. We work together as a team, using our millwork experience and Ricks design and visual presentation to create furniture out of wood with a touch of art.
